La Espada no. 400 is a 48 page, 1/2 tabloid size, full-color publication that features collage art and a comic from Ofelia Hass, a Sol y Sol interview by Constance Condon (of Connie and the Condoms), plus manifestos by Nadya Kivi, Simon Chevrolet, and other members of the WNC.
I’m real proud of this one. But (there’s always a but, isn’t there?) it’s too fuckin big to reproduce it in a way that makes sense. There are a few options I could explore. Like I could put it all in black and white. That would bring the cost down some. Or I could split the thing up into several issues at half the size (zine standard 1/2 letter size) and combine the writings with other ones and some other collages.
Any thoughts? What else could I do with 48 pages of fiction, manifestos, and collages? I need to come up with some alternative or this labor of love may just be another thing that gets consigned to the flames.
